  1. How can killing be a sin, when God himself did it?  Is he not perfect?

  2. This poses a great question.  Chances are, animals do no have the mental capacity to know they are sinning, don't care that they are sinning, or both.

For your answer on cannibalism, search here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibalism

I believe if the creature has the mental state to understand wrong from right and takes one's life intentionally or unintentionally is sinning.

A really good question!!  Actually made me think about my own beliefs and such.

  3. Exactly

  4. because there's no such thing as sin, just bad actions,or immoral

  5. Good question and good point.  It's the reason religion doesn't work with the whole sin thing.  Then again, animals don't practice religion, so why does it matter?  Us humans do kill animals to eat though.  Yes, yes, religion doesn't work.

  6. Killing is a sin?

  7. wow good question .___.

  8. Cannibals rarely kill to eat. Usually they kill to take on the power of their enemies or to get revenge on the other tribe. It is not the same thing at all.

  9. Tick tock of the clock is painful

  10. your genius you might have just caused a break through. except for killing isn't a sin.. murder is. look up the word murder in the original greek and hebrew. you'll see that its different.

  11. After the Flood of Noah's day God gave the animals to man as food but he did not give men to men as food.

  12. animals kill for food and their needs....killing by a human when unnecessary or for personal reasons is a sin.

  13. Animals "kill" their prey for food, or sometimes an animal of their same kind for territorial reasons or fighting for a mate. Animals rarely if ever "kill" for no reason. People "kill" animals for food and unfortunately for sport sometimes (hunting animals just for sport and not for food) but what becomes a sin is when one human "kills" another human. That is called murder and is not only a sin but against the law with very heavy penalties. We never have the right to take another persons life (the law does provide for self defense under strict circumstances). Cannibals are sinning but if they do not understand that what they are doing is wrong, then God will judge them according to His judgment, we can only know that it is wrong and it is a sin.

I wanted to add that when God first created all things, all creatures and man, He never intended any of them to kill one another for food or for any reason. It was after the fall, when man decided He wanted to be like God and know good and evil that animals became food for man and for one another. When Christ returns and establishes His Kingdom, there will be no death, no animal or man will desire to kill or feed upon another animal. There will be true peace again between all creatures.

  14. There is a difference between killing and murder. The command is Thou shalt not commit murder.

  15. Who made a creature to kill? God didn't create things that way. Things were meant and originally created to be peaceful. Sin ruined that and now creatures kill. Just as Gods word in  the 10 commandments indicates-Thou shalt not kill..

PS-Why do you ask? Are you planning on killing someone or something?

  16. i dont think they were made to kill ! they just kill so they can live,

hahaha, man i just impressed myself with that answer

  17. I think sins are mostly applied to people because we have the conscience to meditate on our actions. Kind of like why babies can run around naked but mommy and daddy can't.

I understand killing an animal for food is natural for a human as with any carnivore, but I am guessing you are talking about people killing people. I don't think butchering animals for food is sinful or considered sinful.. Or maybe it is.

Cannibals do not have to eat people to survive, they just prefer to. Unless you want to treat them as mentally handicapped, they have the same capacity to "know better" as the rest of us non-human-eating humans.

If you were suggesting cannibals posses the same brain power as tigers then I would agree with you. It still circles back to my original statement; humans have evolved to the point of inheriting the responsibility of rational thought. With that rationality comes the ability to sin.

Doesn't need to suggest evolution. It works either way. In fact it works better if you believe God created man. He's given us the gift to choose whether or not we wish to sin and it's His judgement that really defines what's sinful.

  18. well.. animals don't have reason. they kill to survive. it's the circle of life.

  19. we are born 2 kill to. We just dont know it until we have to use it

  20. T-Rex was a vegetarian. - Noah

Wait for it.... Wait for it....

  21. They got it?

  22. killing is only a sin when one person kills another person. I don't believe animals have a concept of sin.

  23. This actually a good point about the moralistic vegetarians.

Almost every animal we eat (cows, pigs, chicken, fish) is itself eaten in nature (or in the case of cows, their wild equivalents are).

In the west, we rarely eat predators like cats, dogs or hawks.

  24. How is killing a sin?  Who said it is?

    read this:  http://www.christiandoctrine.net/doctrin...

  25. As humans, we're supposed to know better.

  26. Because there is no God. Just nature.
