the original wall was taken down and a new higher and slightly longer one built.

this now means no one in a normal saloon car can safely turn right or left without being far enogh out that they present a danger to other drivers and their selves. it also causes problems for pedestrians,as they have to walk further into the road to get to safety.thank you.

  1. Your local planning office will be able to advise.

  2. firstly the person may not need planning permission if the wall is a replacement for an existing and less than 6 foot in height secondly if the council have granted planning and you are unhappy contact the local authority ombudsman having dealt with planning issues in the past you may find that the highways dept of your local council is your first point of contact normally highways departments do not allow walls to impede line of sight on highways

  3. The Planing Department AND the Highways Department of the Local Council.  Back any phonecall you make with a letter.  Copy the Local Councillor for your area as well.

If you get no where with them the Police.

  4. you could try the council, but if its just an extension to the height and not how far it protudes into the pavement I doubt they could do anything. Try the "creep and peep" method where you just edge out very slowly until you are sure its clear. thats what they teach us in lessons anyways

  5. Environmental Health and Building Control

  6. The council

  7. Contact the local council, or planning department to see if this wall has been built legally.

  8. Everytime I have to build or remodel something around my house I have to go to Code Enforcement in my local town. So if there is such a thing where you live give them a call. If not, start with City Hall. You may be asked to take pictures of the eyesore aka safety hazzard. Some people build c**p around their property and call it nice...I call it a pain in the butt.

  9. In UK  .. The local council...  Planning and building regulations.. Will be in the local council website
