  1. I think the Spanish word is actually "Ballero" - which just means dancer.

"-ina" makes it little and cute, and more feminine.

  2. No, a male ballet dancer is still called a ballerina.

I'm pretty certain about this considering the fact that I've been taking ballet classes for almost 7 years.

    Hope this helps =)

  3. A male ballet dancer is called a danseur. Even though it makes sense (French for dancer), that's according to Wikipedia, so take it for what it's worth.

  4. Yes it is

  5. Normally you just call him a male ballet dancer or ballet dancer or dancer or technically danseur. Then if he is the star he is called the Premier Danseur (it's French - but Ballerina though is Italian - go figure.). Ballerino is Italian but is technically never used to call them that because it can be confused for Ballerina.

  6. yea

  7. He should be! Let's add it to the dixionary. haha

  8. uhhhh, probably not

  9. well you could either call it a ballerino, or I think most like professional dance academys would call it a "male dancer" at least that's what my dance tecaher said.

  10. As far as i know, yes. I think it's Itailian, French, or Russian.

Can you help me out please?

  11. So you expect a female barrister to be called a "barristinia"?

Not everything deserves a gender-specific name.
