no, it won't re-attach itself. more likely than not, it will get caught on something and you will accidentally rip your nail off and it will hurt! either cut it off (the easy solution) or find some way to glue it back together before it rips off!

  12. No, it won't. It needs to be broken off. Your nail will grow back.

  13. If you are talking about a hangnail, no, it will not reattach itself. Even if your fingernails are ripped completely off, they will grow back.

  14. A lot of women would like to hear a yes answer...................  But NO...........................!=)

  15. Fingernails don't usually re-attach. They are dead on the white part-- known as the quick. Being dense, and not moist like skin, I don't how they could re-attach. I would trim carefully. Keep it clean. bandage if it hurts, and maybe some neosporin. Continue to trim as it grows and soon, you have new nail without the split.

  16. No, it won't.

  17. No... Once it has left the nail bed, a fingernail is dead tissue, so it cannot heal. It has no blood supply.

  18. My fingernails only get attacked by my toenails.

  19. It will attack almost everybody else though....

But it may attach it self again if you use a plaster to stick it with
