If someones borrows money and refuses to pay it back , can you report it to TRW or another credit agency just as other creditors do!

  1. No, but you can take them to court and sue them for the money.  If you have enough proof that they owe the money, such as a written agreement, you can get a judgment against them.

That judgment will appear under the public records section on their credit report.

  2. As she said, if you don't have a paper trail no, and even then unless it is a certain amount, you would have to take them to court, maybe even garnishee wages, and if you subscribe to reporting to the credit bureaus then you could report it.  So, now you know not to lend money to " anyone ", that includes family, friends, relative, co-workers, bosses, girlfriends etc..  Don't lend more than you can expect to lose.  If you can't afford to lose it, then don't lend it.  Lesson learned.  I had to learn it, also.  It's a shame people can't stand by their word.

  3. Do you have a written agreement between your friend and yourself? If you don't have a paper document you may be out of luck but you now know who your friends are.

  4. Not unless you have a promissory note.  Consider him an ex friend if he won't pay up.
