Was it night time?  Were you standing under a light?  The little frogs really come out and play in front of our garage at night BECAUSE little moths are attracted to the light and little frogs are attracted to moths.  

If you were in the right place at the right time, it was probably pretty easy for you to both catch a frog and attract a moth.  

I'd just let the poor little froggy go, because catching him probably freaked him out, messing with your karma a little.  And, gently encourage the moth to move on, when you could have killed it, perhaps adding to your karma with this kindness.  

Then, I'd consider it a karmic wash, go back inside and relax before I got a mosquito bite, totally messing up everything.
