  1. Usually organic and more natural fruits & vegetables look a little... weird.

The genetically altered stuff we get at the store looks all pretty cause of all the pictures they have  to take for commercials and stuff. lol

They have most of us really thinking that THAT is how nature really produces stuff.  Kinda funny, kinda sad.

  2. She grew it, used the right stuff

    it came from a plant

    its safe...

    go and eat it

  3. its safer than the store because you grew it right at home

  4. What would be unsafe about it?

  5. Unless she sprays the tree with toxic pesticides, it's safe to eat.....

  6. It's safer but you still have to remember it's very easy for poison to be common in your own yard. Aids? In my yard? It's more likely than you think

  7. There should be no problems with it, as long as it hasn't been recently sprayed.

I have several cherry sized plum trees and I get lbs of fruit from the branches I can reach and what falls and I leave the rest for the birds.

I am not dead yet and I haven't seen any dead birds.

  8. I'm guessing that it looks weird because it's not overly sprayed with pesticides & herbicides, isn't gentically engineered, isn't sprayed with undertreated cow manure and chemicals, and isn't a mass production varietal like you find in grocery stores.

It should be safe to eat.  Why would growing it at home be any less safe than importing it from Mexico or Vietnam?

At home, at least you know what's been done to it.

  9. Because it's homegrown. That's how you know it's safe. Dear Lord in Heaven, the reason your mama's tomatoes look "weird" is that they are not genetically modified to be uniform! Heirloom tomatoes are very important to cultivate because these b******s like Monsanto are creating seeds which self-destruct after blossoming! So then you are dependent on buying their products year after year instead of having your seeds from the plants you already grew from the previous season! It's very creepy and scary and we have to buy ORGANIC!!!!
