  1. when i asked my doctor this question he told me that generally you should wait for two periods after stopping the pill for it to become totally inaffective but i started trying for a baby after my first period and got pregnant more or less straight away. hope this helps!

  2. Well, I thought it took about 3 months to get out of your system, but I skipped a week of pills, then started back up and was pregnant.  So, for me it was quick.

  3. Not long.  That is why girls can get pregnant if they even miss one pill.  I know a girl whose doctor told her it would take at least a month for the pill to wear off and she ended up getting pregnant a week after stopping taking the pills.

  4. About 24-48 hours. That's why they are taken every day. But if you are trying to conceive it may not be that easy. Many people take 3 months to a year to conceive after coming of the pill and other birth control. But take into consideration it often takes a woman on no birth control awhile to conceive.

  5. well i mean the protection form pregnancy wheres of after 24 hours but the after effect of the hormone changes can last quite a while . i got a 12day perods when i came off the pill. i felt rather cr*p lol

  6. 2 days

  7. Depends why - you can fall pregnant on the pill as well.

  8. It's almost immediate. If a girl even misses one day, she has a greater chance of getting pregnant. As soon as she stops taking the pill, she is back to "normal," for lack of a better term, and the pill is no longer affective. However, depending on how regularly she took the pill (same exact time every day, or anytime--sometimes 36 hours apart, sometime 12, etc.), it may take a couple days for body to truly be back to its "original" state.
