  1. Well, I know in my school that when a girl gets pregnant she doesn't have to tuck her shirt anymore, because we have to wear uniforms and tuck them in. They don't really kick anyone out. After all, don't the new soon to be mommies need an education to be able to raise the baby? But um, people do sometimes stare, especially the freshmen who aren't use to seeing pregnant teenagers walking around, and most girls get home schooled a month to three weeks before the due date, just encase the baby decides to come early or something. We even had a girl go into labor in the hall this past year; she was 6 months prego. From what I heard, the baby was okay. Other than them not having to tuck in their shirts though, there's really not anything special that goes on or anything. The teachers sometimes say and ask things like "How old are you?", "You're so young.", "Do you regret it?" Kind of personal things, ya know? But I go to school in a pretty small town so I guess it's understandable..

  2. I like never see pregnant people in my school. Not in my building anyways. I know that the teen moms all go to the alternative building.

  3. usually pregnancies have been known to result in an infant.....

  4. well mine is sort of the "smart school" and everyone is like kinda rich and s****. and most people in the community don't get teen pregnancy. so at my school, everyone would probably be all like apalled and stuff. i don't know if they would kick her out... wouldn't you just leave on your own? i would.

  5. well i dont really mind that if a girl is pregnant at my high school because liket the question said its none of our business  n it really isnt the best we can do is CONGRATS them.. n best wishes for them..well at other school most likely to care either because its not them that is carrying the baby ..

  6. Okay, what is amazes me is this... I graduated back in 1996...

If you got pregant back in H.S. you weren't cool.  You lost most of your friends.  they didn't WANT to be associated with you.  You were ashamed and just had one kid until later in life.  And if you were stupid enough not to be ashamed you got knocked up a couple of more times and completely wrecked your whole life.

I did have friends that got pregnant in H.S. and they had abortions because we knew that having a kid was unacceptable.

Two of my friends had kids and gave them up for adoption and it completely screwed them up  - one is a coke head now (very prominent family with money), the other came from a family with money too and is an alcoholic.

And the other ones, if they had kids and kept them - I didn't stay friends with them because they were just plain stupid.

For the record.. I had an abortion too... and I don't regret it for one second.  I regret being dumb enough to get pregnant.  No way could I have raised a baby or expected welfare to take care of us.

  7. it's the same.

she just goes about her business like she normally would.

she's not kicked out or anything.

  8. Eh, nothing really. I mean I've heard about some and even seen a pregnant girl at my school, but it's not a big deal. It's not like everyone is like "Oh my gosh, did you hear about that pregnant girl?" and the whole school knows or anything.

  9. nothing, really its not that dramatic

and they never get kicked out.

  10. its differant at every school obviously. at my school we have many parenting classes.but when the school knows a girl is pregnant they dont go to the school for like 2 hours but the school has a bus they go on to a daycare and learn about babys and takes care of some kids while there. then when there in there 3rd trimester  our school gives them elevator passes to get to class easyier and when they are soon to be do they sorta give them at home schooling so they dont fall behind. after they have the kid the kid goes to the daycare they where learning about babys at and haves someone take care of there kid there while in school

  11. when i was in high school, it really wasnt that big of a deal. they just went to class like nothing ever happened. and eventually they disappeared and dropped out of high school, pretty much never to be seen again.

  12. no one really cares at my school.

  13. When I was in high school, they made you leave once you started to show.

  14. She's tormented by an unrelenting class of people looking down at her until she drops out.  Sometimes, she gets help from her parents in raising the child, and still attends school, with everyone looking down at her wishing she'd drop out.

  15. At my old high school, they kicked you out and sent you to a different school that was meant for kids that had trouble learning or learning disabilities.

  16. Most of the time the girls went to a place called TAPS where pregnant girls went and had regular highschool, but they also added in parenting classes. They kept them up to date so that after they had the baby they came back to regular highschool and continued where their class was, and graduated on time too.

  17. well theres like 70 ms. preggers at my school

and they have expecting mothers meetings!!

hhahaha its like a pregnant club. its awesome.

    but nothing happens to them.

  18. if a girl at our school gets pregnant, people just go on with their lives

the girl doesn't get kicked out because this is a public school that i go to

im sure that if it were a private school that would be something different

  19. she gets fat and has a little person to look after.... and her long term boyfriend suddenly isn't in school(or the country) for a while....no one else really cares.

    *edit*

are you people serious?! they really get kicked out of school in this day and age for being pregnant?!?!

are you sure they aren't just on a school version of meternity leave??

  20. nothing

everyone talks about it for a few days, and then no one cares again.

  21. well missy she has a baby

  22. At my high school, the girl was not allowed to attend classes. She had to do all her work through correspondence and finish up that way if she wanted to graduate without switching schools.

  23. At my catholic highschool they were forced to resign (this was about 5 years ago). But at public highschools there is no issue. They continue school, have the baby (take a break perhaps) and keep schooling. Nothing changes!

  24. I know when i was in highschool if a girl got pregnant they had to go through classes on parenting, labor and delivery and all that.  Then they got maternity leave and home instruction until baby was 6 wks old then they returned back to regular schooling.  At the career center they would also be allowed to bring their baby to the daycare center there during classtime.

  25. My school does nothing but help. They have a counsler that will help out with the pregnancy emotionly and physically. Also we have an alternate school in my town that has a class where you can go to while pregnant with other pregnant teens and teen moms. And they have a free daycare for after the baby is born while the moms go to school in the same building. But you are never asked to leave and go to this school, it is just easier for some, but I know some who dont go as well.

  26. i dont know. ive only just finished grade nine and no sign of pregnant girls. although one time i saw a girl carrying a blanket and there was a plastic baby that i mistakened for a real one.

  27. idk what happens my grandma took my mom out for a year and home schooled her her freshman year while she was prego then she went back for sophomore year

  28. She's shunned and beaten behind the shed by the janitors.

haha JK. It depends on if i know her or if shes just a stranger. Normally ppl are supportive of their friends. But if i don't know her then its none of my business.

  29. my school is very supportive of teen mums. the students are too. they help if they can and they dont stare.

  30. A lot of the time the other girls talk about her behind her back and I'm sure she get lots of stares. But nobody actually ever says anything mean to them. And their friends are usually pretty supportive. Teachers just act like it's nothing.

ADD: I'm shocked about the whole kicking them out thing! The last thing we need in America are a bunch of teenage mothers who dropped out of high school!

  31. In public schools nothing usually happens except the girls in question get bullied like there's no tomorrow.  In private or catholic schools they might get kicked out.
