  1. Of course! I use my dad's irons, hybrid, putter, and drivers a lot, and I'm only eleven!

  2. Yep, only if your a pro or really good! ;-)

  3. depends on if you like it. agolf club doesn't see gender.  if you like it and swing okay and get good drives then use it if not then look at other clubs.

  4. Should be OK. I would take them to your local golf pro or golf town and have them fitted though. Have fun.

  5. I am in my late 50's and just started playing golf last year. The pro I took lessons from told me to buy men's clubs because I am/was strong enough to hit them. I got a better deal on a women's starter set of clubs so I bought those. The sales lady was a former LPGA player the pro knew so he was ok with me getting the women's clubs.

Ask if you can try the clubs before you buy them. Regardless of how good the price is, it will cost you if you can't hit them well.

  6. If you have standard built body, and standard height, I think it'd be too heavy and too long for you.  Standard swing weight on man clubs is D2.

  7. A girl may use any set of clubs she desires and using a set of men's clubs is fine if the weight is correct and she can swing the club rather than the club swinging her. The length should also be suitable for her anatomy so that she doesn't have to grip way down on the golf grip  to have the club sole sitting properly on the turf ( lie angle ). If these factors are achieved , the set is suitable. Good Golfing.

  8. as long as they fit

  9. Depending on your strength it should be ok.  the main difference today between Mens and Womens clubs is weight of the individual club and Flex of the shaft.

  10. Golf clubs come in varying shaft stiffness ratings, based on the flexibility of the shaft. Basically, they are Extra stiff, stiff, regular, senior and women's. It has more to do with strength, swing speed and flexpoint than with age or gender. However, women's clubs are also typically an inch or so shorter than men's shafts as well, since the average woman is shorter than the average man.

Women's clubs typically have a whippier shaft to allow for more distance with a slower swing speed. However, mass market clubs are made for the 'average' male or female. If you are tall, athletic, have strong hands and can swing tha club at a higher speed than the average woman, men's clubs will work fine for you. Michelle Wie and Laura Davies can use men's clubs because they are taller and stronger than most women.

As a beginner, it might not matter that much as you learn the game, but as you become more skilled, I would suggest going to a club fitting place (such as a Golfsmith outlet) and having them measure you and put you on a swing monitor than will check the lie of the clubs (the angle of the clubhead to the shaft) as well as match your swing for the proper shaft stiffness and weight.

You did not mention your height; the typical man's club is made for someone between 5'8" and 6'0"; shorter people often need to have the clubs cut down so they can take a normal stance without having to get too far from the ball at address.

Good luck and hit 'em straight.
