If a gold plated cap stone were placed on Kufu's pyramid, what would happen?

There were palns to place such a stone atop the pyramid in '98, but they decided it was not a good idea because they were worried the pyramid might get damaged by the helicopter or terrorists,thieves, or maybe the supernatural. Some say the pyramid is a machine and the capstone would start it, since the top of the pyramid is said to harness some sort of energy.

Tomb robbers in that area go back thousands of years.  Don't leave anything of value there.  For supernatural folks, well, find something cheaper.

Much has been said about pyramids, but little of it has been proved. Nothing would happen, except the gold would be stolen. The pyramid is a wonderful building, perfectly aligned, beautifully made. That is all - but isn't that enough?
