  1. If a ball goes in the water, it goes in the water.  It doesn't matter how it got there.  You play your next shot from the designated drop zone, and assume your penalty stroke.

  2. I'm no PGA official, but I beleive it would be dropped at the end of the ground on the players side of the water hazzard, as it would be any other time the ball is in the drink.

  3. Since the ball  crossed the margin of the hazard, the ball should be dropped on a line between the  pin & the place where the ball last crossed the hazard, you were lucky that it last crossed the hazard on the other side of the water.

  4. The final resting place determines where the ball should be played. If the ball is in the pond, the player must play his next stroke from behind the pond.

  5. in the pond

  6. Into your beer mug at the nineteenth hole.

  7. If the pond is defined as a normal water hazard (yellow stakes), the player must drop behind the water hazard. That means on the side where the player hit the ball from.

You can drop anywhere on a line that goes from the hole through the point where the ball went into the hazard, as far back as you want to go.

Edit: IF there is a drop area, you are entitled to use it also. Also, think of the 17th at TPC from this weekend. If a ball hit the green then rolled back into the water, the players had to re-tee it or use the drop zone.

You also have the option to hit from the same spot as your last shot.

If the pond has red stakes (later water hazard), you can also drop within two club lengths of where it entered the hazard, but not closer to the hole.

  8. it's a watar hazard penalty, and you drop the ball near the pond and you play it from there.
