  1. I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi for my auto and I understand that hunters/hikers also use it in the woods in case they get lost (it has a battery), so I'm not sure why it couldn't be used on a bike other than the battery life is probably not that long. If you can figure out how to mount it & charge it, I don't see why not. Although mine cost me $350, the ones for bikes were $899.


  2. Yeah sure, but I think that having to look down while you're driving along, either to following directions or to press buttons, might tip you off, especially if you're inexperienced. A safety hazard, really.
