If a guy catches you looking at him, what's the best way he could silently respond so you might smile back?

This is a body language question.

Unlike guys who want try and be charming all the time, my idea of a great chance to get to know someone is to actually get to know them, and it'd be nice to get a smile back from the ones who usually don't, but tend to look at me anyway.

Typical anthropological responses are often present, but fleeting. I curious about what elements overcome preconception to engage both a conscious drive and the emotional response during the "first blush" reactionary stage.

Besides, while the charming role has been fun, I've done it all my life and really the person I am is someone who loves to make people feel safe but alive at the same time.

It'd be nice to communicate in a fraction of a second.

Add your own ideas or even a science book if you want.

Let me know what you think.

  1. This feels a little racy for anthropology, but a wink would do it for me!

  2. A slightly raised eyebrow and a slight smile would be just great!

  3. I would say a slight nod  which acknowledges that 'I've seen u too' and a slight, innocent smile which just simply says 'hi'.

Coz I've been over exposed to charm from strangers, sometimes it seems motivated by something more dislikable, like they want just more than a greeting. Realising that just sometimes turns down the potential smile on my face.

  4. just kinda make a funny face, not in a rude way, but in a teasing, funny way. that would get a smile out of me.

  5. Guys aren't mind readers and the vast majority find womens attempts at communication confusing.  You have to actually talk to them and not assume they get any sort of subtle signals you are sending them no matter how overt they may seem to you.
