If you were one of the people that answered..my freaked out questions here is another one. If my hamster died, how is he suppose to be? Hard? Cold?..what?!

Right now, my hamster is still. I think he may have died :(

His one eye is open, but i dont know if he is breathing..

I picked him up, he was limp, lifeless.

He isnt freezing, just like..not really cold..

I dont know if he has passed :(

  1. Keep Your Hammy In Your Heart Always. Hammy Will Always Be With You In Your Thoughts And Memories And Your Heart

May Your Hammy Rest in peace in Hammy Heaven.

  2. He may be really sick?  Can you feel breathing by placing you finger by his nose or on his heart?

If he just died he won't be hard or cold.

  3. When my hamster died, I was pretty young and so sad I carried him around all day. He wasn't hard, but he got kinda cold after about a hour. I knew he was dead when I held him across my three fingers with his legs hanging because I couldn't feel him breathing.

  4. He will feel warm and lifeless if he just passed. It takes a couple of minutes to start feeling cool.He will not feel the same as if living. Can have a nice little funeral for him and bury him in the yard.My daughter buried hers outside under her bedroom window in a shoe box.

His eyes will be fixed and staring. So sorry.

  5. If he is lifeless and he is not breathing then he died.  bury him in your backyard "if you are sure he is dead"

  6. can you hear his lil heart beat when you put your ear up to him?  they dont get cold and hard right away.... i know my bunny just died

  7. I'm so sorry.

Is the hamster hard? They are hard when they are dead. Just keep monitoring him and check and see if he moves again.

    Thanks.

  8. i dont know alot about this subject. buy when a hamster dies he/she does go hard and cold. but thats the same sign as hibernation. if it was in a cold area it was proberly hibernating, but if it was in a warm area it is dead

alive for 2-3 years ye its proberly dead.

oo i buried mine in the yard. it got dug up >.< stupid cats

  9. DONT BURY HIM!!!

Hamsters take AGES to die, my sisters hamster was unconscious for two days before he died. Wait until he goes stiff before you bury him.

Another explanation is that he has got to cold and is hibernating but it doesn't really sound like it..
