If a hard drive crashes, how possible is it to recover the data?

I heard it's possible if you send it out to a professional or something.. Please help.

I don't know about that....but is you had data recovery installed on your computer then its possible....other than that i can't say anything....thats why its good to store data on a cd... yeah and try sending it to some expert....
