  1. dont think so

  2. if he had it in his hands sure, if I had to give something to him to gain that mil, then no.

  3. Provided they offered evidence of them having one million dollars and been legall entitled to give it to me - that would apply to all offers not just the homeless.

We had a homeless man near us when I was growing up - he turned out to be a multi-millionaire who prefered life on the streets - mild mental health issues.

  4. If you go to Zimbawe, the homeless there will give you 1 Billion dollar note.

So 1 million dollars are too little.

  5. I don't need it, thank you!  :D

  6. for starters.. why would a homeless person have 1 million dollars and not be using it themselves?

  7. no cause if they had 1 million dollars they wouldn't be homeless

  8. i would trust him, if he had the money right there. if he said it was around the corner and down some dark alleyway.... probably not.

  9. does he have it on him? then yes

  10. I'd be paranoid about him and not take the mney and then spend the rest of my life thinking 'what if'

  11. no because if a person had a miilion dollars why would he be homeless?

  12. Yes, I may trust him. But I will not take even a single penny from him. I may just try for a help to find a purpose within himself. Even just for a moment of a good and friendly response.

Maybe he was lost in his journey in life. Gone so weary and hopeless.. But even if he had found his place in what he may think what's ever for him at that moment, I will just tell him. To reflect more about the better things he can do in his life. To satisfy what his heart really desire. To help those who are truly in need, If he still insists on taking his treasures away..

I have talked with some homeless already. Some of them were previously working and owning real homes which they just left behind with their loved ones.

There had I encountered one previously rich with a family too. Then just a sad story to tell.

  13. I have no reason not to trust him, but every reason to be skeptical.

  14. no. i do not trust people

  15. whats there to trust? if he had it in outstretched arms to you no strings why not?

I worked at a bank and this guy comes in to check his accounts and I am thinking poor guy maybe wants to make sure his ss check came in or something...

DANG, two accounts had more than the bank guaranteed, more than I had EVER seen working for a bank, any bank. He said he had "other banks too"..

He dressed that way to be left alone.

never judge a book NEVER judge a book, you never know when you are entertaining angels.

  16. well, I guess, maybe I'd ask him why he has it though and why he hasn't used it. And some who answered this wrote, "Why would he be homeless them and not use it himself"

Maybe he chose to live that way, to be homeless, understood that he didn't need the money.

  17. h**l no and second I wouldn't take money of a homeless guy to begin with.

  18. I would not trust anybody i do not personally know. I would ask what the catch is.

  19. Trust him to do what?

  20. What is home to one person may not at all be a home to most of us. I have seen a monkey holding a dollar bill and yet the trees in the forest is considered to be its home. A house is not a home so a song says. Even  Jesus of the Bible has no house and yet He is at home with us sinners. He came to save us. Many trusted Him.

  21. I  live in an area where  too many are homeless

they had more then homes they have family

that  i do not see bus loads getting off to see

them  like they would take a trip to disney

    or the great adventure,

too expensive the trip to go in too the past

much less the future, and we talk

    about what,,

what could you buy of the  situation

Well  [ i would think justice,

we get what we put in too life

    do we not

    think about it

    i did *

  22. I'd trust anyone for that amount of money.

  23. yeah, because homeless people with 1 million dollars are obviously too poor to afford a house, huh? umm, yeah i would, it makes perfect sense, jk.

  24. The question is a bit confusing!

Is it about trust or about money?

Most people here have problem believing that a homeless person can have that kind of moolah.  But in reality it is possible.  Many beggars,  at least in India,  have adopted begging as their profession...a fine art,  in fact!  They come to work in normal clothes,  change them somewhere on the way and wear a 'pathetic expression' to cash in on gullible people's so-called generosity.  And,  here most people believe giving alms to the poor paves their way to heaven.

So there have been cases of homeless people dying on street apparently penniless,  but found to be hoarding piles of cash/coins!

But,  of course, I am not implying that every homeless person is a suspect!  Not at all!!!

Now,  what circumstances would merit such an offer?  Is it that I had helped him in the past and now that I've fallen on bad times, he is trying to repay in cash and kind?  I sincerely do not know what my reaction would be.  For now I have my lofty ideals because I'm secure,  there's enough food for my family,  clothes to spare and roof on my head...but who knows when left on streets,  I would still be a romantic idealist.  That would be the ultimate test.

  25. If a homeless person had a million dollars, he could buy his own home  ....  and then he wouldn't be homeless .....   unless by some chance he was offering me a million dollars for MY home .....  then I'd have to wonder why (could there be oil or gold underneath ???)  .....  nope, there are no easy answers, are there?

  26. I would ask 'What are you doing sitting there? Go buy yourself a home!'
