If a man spent a year on a planet with slightly higher gravity, would they come back to Earth super-human?

Not likely, but his muscular abilities would be at a highjer level.

No, he would be a little stronger but that would be all. Being born on a heavy G planet is another matter and a few generations might make a real difference. Read the Deathworld Trilogy by Harry Harrison.
