Mostly but not always even if they are asked about another person they may never admit to it any ways. Some people have some sort of a breakdown and feel they cannot cope why i have no idea , It will consume her till she knows or finds out the truth how she will do that i don't know . I wish her luck and freedom to move on eventually

It is a good posibility, but not the only possible reason. Men don't talk about their feelings and insecurites like we do. They may be frustrated and upset about things for years and you may never know because they don't feel comfortable about telling you. If he was absent a lot before he left...late from work, periods of time he was missing, then it is likely there is someone else. Either way, protect your family, if you have kids, make sure they know they are loved and cared about no matter what. Do not bad mouth him in front of them no matter how hard it gets. Stay strong and don't be afraid to talk to someone if you need to.

I know of very few men who have left their wife without someone waiting in the wings for them. It does happen but in my experience and from what I've observed, it's rare that he leaves unless there's already someone else.

we cant generalize on here and get the right answer.  People leave marriages for different reasons.  Sometimes they aren't prepared for children or the responsibility of a relationship, etc.

with that said, my husband left me and our 2 sons 10 yrs ago for his secretary who was 15 yrs younger than he !
