If a memory card on a camera is full will it keep shutting off?

my camera was bought on discount from sears and i haven't really used it that much but now it seems to be having problems.it keeps shutting off and when i go through the pictures i have taken it says file error. would that mean my memory card is full.i don't know how to tell.also when i put brand new batteries in it 5 minutes later it says batteries low.

  1. Your camera shouldn't shut off just because the memory card is full... there is definately something wrong with your camera. If you haven't had it that long, take it back to Sears.


  2. well first the file error is going to have to do with the pics on ur camera. have u loaded the pics on ur computer? and then put some back on ur camera? my camera doesn't allow me to do that and causes some of the pics to have an "error"

    but there must be something wrong with ur camera. you should deff. return it! try gettin one that doesn't run on batteries. try getting one that you recharge the 1 battery.

  3. cameras don't shut down just because the memory card! maybe it's cuz it's broken or something try taking it to a repair shop or sumthin! =]

  4. What type of batteries are you using, because if you are using the cheaper ones camera's will use those very fast. i would suggest that you invest in some rechargeable batteries they last the longest.
