  2. Yes it does, its been on the tv lately saying that if a socket isn't being used it should be switched off and this will save you alot of money on your electricity bills.

  4. yh coz on sum chargers u can get electrified if there is a sudden overflow n ur touchin the wrong bit, (happens mostly abroad)

  6. Yes, but the amount used wouldn't be enough to register on your electricity meter.

  7. Any mains adaptor (including those for mobile 'phones) will draw a current off the mains if it is plugged in and switched on, but not connected to the 'phone. The transformer electronics need it to convert the voltage down to 3.7V or whatever your mobile uses.

    They are very inefficient devices. Put your hand on it. Does it feel warm? Where do you think that heat comes from?
