  1. The amp has to have two channels to do what you're asking.  Typically you can bridge multi-channels amps down to mono, but you can't split a mono amp into multiple channels.  This doesn't mean that you can't hook the amp up to more  than one speak though and yes the wattage is pretty much split evenly unless you are controlling with some other device that you run the amp to first.

    sometimes for convience a mono amp will have multiple terminal connections for more than one driver, but they are all going to the same single channel of amplification.
