Question:

If a mother can leave her child...?

then she'll care nothing about leaving you. My ex ran off with some online fling. She has 2 daughters (their fathers have custody) but 1 child was in the state with us and was able to see her everyday and able to stay with us on weekends. I've been sitting here in misery for the last couple of months wondering how she could just leave me like this. Truth of the matter is, she left her child too. Eventhough she didn't have custody of her, that child can no longer see her mom like she used to. And though I don't have any kids, I know it has to be hard on the child that Saturday mommy is here and Sunday she's gone and Monday you find out she's probably not ever coming back. I've been taking this personally but the truth of the matter is if she could walk out her kids life, she cared nothing about mine. Am I right or am I over rationalizing this?

  1. No, you have the right of it. It sounds like she considers people to be throw away commodities.

  2. you are right. and you have the right to feel and think whatever right now

  3. All the red flags were there for you but you chose to ignore it.

She obviously doesn't care about anyone but herself.  Move on, close that chapter in your life.  Stop pressing rewind, it's not get you anywhere but being bitter.

  4. well you have to know what your doing then your thingie will increase then you will get the answer to that

  5. nope you are right on this.. if she can do that to her child that she does get to see even though she doesn't have custody then she doesn't have feelings for anyone else but herself.  it's really sad that she is like that with her own child and you... be thankful that you don't have any children with her.

  6. Obviously she doesn't since she walked out on you already. It is normal to be hurt but she isn't worth your time or energy. You need to find her child's father and give him his child and  you need to move on. She is a selfish person who will get hers in the long run. If she didn't want children she should have use prevention. She did you a favor by running off with a man she doesn't know. Move on.

  7. Any mother, or father, that can walk away from the child, deserves NO RESPECT at all from any one. The children do not ask to be born. It is our job as parents to make sure our children are loved and cared for. This mother is making it very clear to her children that they are not important to her, and causing permanent damage to the children's self esteem. I only hope that the other parent is smart enough to get the child some professional help.

  8. u prob shoud have thought about all this b4 u got into a relationship with the abandoner!

  9. you are right! She was the selfish one.. if a woman can carry a child then leave her like that..whak kind of person is that anyway! I hope the kids are fine without her.

  10. Wow Bucket! I am sorry about your situation. I just can't imagine that happening to anyone let alone you and her daughter. I am not here to judge, but perhaps there are some unanswered issues that you both have that you didn't have a chance to discuss. No one run out for no apparent reason or reasons.  There are issues that people chose not to discuss instead they run away b/c it's easier, so you may want to track her down and ask her why? Once you have your why, move on.

  11. She is a quitter and obviously a very irresponsible woman who cares only about herself.

I suspect you deserve better. Move on and never look back.

  12. Sadly, I believe you're right...that the kids were with their fathers' might have given you some inside information prior to hooking up with her...too late to consider that with this one but, might be something to look for in the future.

Sorry for you that it happened but it seems to me you're better off without her.  No one deserves to be $hit on, you know?

Just my thoughts ~ all the best to you.
