  1. no another animal can smell th poison in the other animal. so no it is not a cycle.

  2. It is possible. That depends on the poison concentration. If there was just enough to kill the mouse, then whatever animal might eat it could get sick without necessarily dying.

But mouse poison is usually concentrated enough to kill the mouse with a very large dose, so that they would not only get sick and develop resistance.

The rodenticide box will usually list the pertinent information.

  3. Eventually, the poison would become so diluted that it wouldn't be strong enough to kill again.  But not before a mass extinction that would make what happened to the dinosaurs look like 9/11.

  4. That's a very interesting question actually.  If a dog were to come around and eat it then it probably would not die because the amount of poison used to kill it takes a lot more for a dog.  Also not all animals die from the same poison.  But lets say they did and lets say ants could die from it and they start eating the mouse then yes they would die too,  but then a mouse came back and ate an ant then the cycle would probably be broken then because again it would probably take more poison to kill the mouse than the ant.  So as long as they were eaten by smaller animals then it would be an endless cycle but I don't think that's possible.  And even if smaller animals ate the animal you also have to realize that if the whole body of the wasn't eaten by the smaller animal then you never know how much poison was left in the portion of the animal uneaten.  So it's very variable and it couldn't be an endless cycle unless it happened under perfect circumstances for it to happen if that makes sense.

  5. yes

  6. Depends on what you used for poison. If you used something silly like broken glass then of course it will continue. If you used something serious like cyanide, the poison will react once and then be harmless the following rounds.

  7. sadly (T__T) yes

  8. Absolutely..you need to discard poison rodents in your garbage when ever possible.

  9. it might depend on how much poison you gave the mouse, and then how big the animal is.If a cat ate it then it will probably die.

(poor kitty) :(    but if it were much bigger than it might get sick or it wont cuase a problem at all.

  10. um ya

  11. it depends on when the animal got to the mouse.

  12. Only until the concentration level of the poison was diluted enough to not cause death in the next animal that ate the tainted animal.

  13. yea the poison from the orginal animal would go to the other animal and so on but the poison would keep getting weaker through more animals
