What prices would you expect?

Very casual, take out only, but really good food.

  1. BBQ Ribs - $6 half rack, $10 full rack

    BBQ Chicken breast - $6

    BBQ Chicken sandwich - $7

That's pretty much all I like...and if it's too cheap, I know that the food won't be any good!!!!!

  2. something vegetarian

  3. bbq nachos.. yum.

  4. I would like to see different types/styles of BBQ.  By that I mean Eastern North Carolina vinegar based, South Carolina mustard based, smoked meat with sauce on the side, tomato/ketchup based sauces in hot, mild, medium etc.....

I would expect to see ribs, chicken, brisket, chopped and pulled pork etc.  As far as sides........ slaw, 'tater salad, baked beans, brunswick stew, fries, fried okra, applesauce, greenbeans, corn on the cob, cornbread and/or white bread, soft drinks and sweet & unsweetened iced tea.

  5. Burnt ends, beef brisket, pulled pork, baked beans corn bread with honey butter. And that is softened butter with honey.

  6. brunswick stew...and the general BBQ menu....i like cheap prices....

  7. Have some really good cornbread, hush puppies and coleslaw.

Stay away from seafood...stick to real meat.

    Offer dry rubs

    Come up with signature sauces

Accept credit/debit cards.  Too many mom & pop places in my area with great food, but don't accept plastic...so if I'm on a fast lunch, I don't feel like driving to an ATM just to eat there.

Also, for ribs...I would offer babyback as well as country style (large).

  8. ribs, marinated chicken, pulled pork, brisket, corn bread, hushpuppies, bbq baked beans, corn on the cob, and salt potatoes....darn, now i'm hungry

  9. Chicken, turkey legs, burgers, ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket & kabobs along with some great sides, like cole slaw, potato salad, grilled veggies, waffle fries, hush puppies, corn on the cob, baked beans, sweet potato chips, and corn bread.

I would do a la carte items and then maybe a pick 1, 2, or 3 platter.  Where you would get 1, 2, or 3 meat choices, choice of 1 side, and corn bread or hush puppies.  I would price the platters at $8-$15 depending on number of items chosen.

  10. My husband would really love a chicken and (pork) rib combo plate for $10 or less. He loves it with fries and cole slaw.

  11. RIBS!!!  CHICKEN!!!  STEAK!! BURGERS!!!

    Mmm..

Prices ranging from $9-$25 (for a good steak)

  12. Ribs for sure.
