Question:

If a new USB is plugged into a computer with viruses, could the USB get any viruses if all i am doing is....?

all i am gonna do is:

1) plug the USB in

2) transfer a folder that i have scanned with all the anti virus i could find onto the flash drive

  1. It depends on the virus but yes its possible for both scenarios.  


  2. Depends on virus and antivirus

    Virus : there are certain viruses where they enter in removeable devices just in instance..just plug it in and voila..you have a deadly thumbdrive..*stupid school pc, breeding ground for virus* my baaad experience..

    Example : Newfolder.exe virus..or lovecalculator.exe virus..those spread like crazy..

    Antivirus : They might not do the job well , what AV are you using?..have it updated so they identify the virus.


  3. Is you plug it in nothing will happen but if you transfer things to it maybe but like you said that check with the anti-virus maybe nothing will happen.
