I would definately check with the insurance company.....I would think that a wheel chair would need to be mentioned on an insurance policy to be covered..but..I'm not 100% on that.

I would think that something that is necessary for an individual...would need to be covered one way or the other...so..whichever insurance company you deal with...should be made aware of that object...and see if they would cover it...or see what other options are available to have coverage on it.

Your insurance policy will NOT cover the chair -- it isn't part of the vehicle. If the other party's insurance is paying the claim then most likely they will pony-up for everything damaged in the loss. Your homeowners policy MAY cover it...

most likely not car insurance only covers the car and passengers are covered i would defiantly call the insurance company to check though its worth a try
