If a noncustodial parent legally terminates parental rights do they have to pay child support in Maryland?

The custodial parent( mother) has re-married and terminated biological/parental rights ...would the father still owe child support ?

  1. yup. Losing rights does not end obligations without a court order


  2. I would consult a lawyer.  The first visit it usually free.  If you can't afford a lawyer, try some of the online legal services web-sites.

    Are you saying that the father now has custody? If so, I would think that he wouldn't have to keep paying.
