If a pair of dice are rolled, what are the odds in favor of getting a sum of 6?

  1. it's 5 out of 36 because 6x6 is 36 and there is 5 sums that come up with 5


  2. These other answers are right. I checked them before answering. As a dice dealer, I can tell you that betting 6 and 8 are standard bets, to maintain. 4 and 10 are your money makers.  However, as place and come bets...I saw 5 come in more than any other number in the last 4 days in a row. Some massive rolls!! Made the dealer's 'back hurt' rolls! answer to your question..8 drops much more than 6. I would be pressing the 8 after the second roll. Just an FYI for all of you on the Craps table! You can never battle a 'cold' table. If a dealer tells you, "it's cold", just walk away.
