  1. Yes.  I was abused for most of my childhood.  My father tried to beat me up right after I got out of "boot camp."  That was the last time my father tried to beat me up.

  2. Yes, there are several things that can happen. They can choose to make sure that they don't turn out to be like their parents and be abusive, but they can also become abusive. They can also cut all ties with the parents due to this. My mother put a gun in my face right between my eyes. He hand was on the trigger. This destroyed my relationship with her. I didn't talk to her for along time and now I just tolerate her because she is my mother. Ive forgave her but I have never forgotten it, it was very traumatic for me. Her dad shot and killed her mother in front of her and then turned the gun on himself and killed himself when she was 16. So I really thought she would never do anything like this going through what she did. So you see it can go either way.

  3. That would totally depend on the child and their personality. Some will put in the effort and do exactly the opposite of how their parents treated them. Unfortunately violence has a way of going in cycles, generation after generation, so yes it is possible.

  4. YES, as Dr. Phil says, "Children are a blank slate and parents write what their going to be on that slate." Children are very impressionable. They learn from their experiences. It is very possible for the child to become violent but more importantly the child will probably later in life end up in an abusive relationship with their spouse. This is possible because after being abused they start to believe thats how life is suppose to be. So later on when the childs spouse gets abusive the childs response is, "well this is normal and it's ok." I hope this helps and good luck!

  5. yes, cildren display what they learn.

  6. it's not just possible, it's a SURE FACT

  7. Abused people do have anger in them. When they are big enough they might takes this anger out on other people, or on themselves in the form of drug or alcohol abuse, self-destructive behaviour like cutting, suicide atttempts, compulsive gambling or random fighting.

In many cases they take it out on the next generation, becoming abusers  themselves. In these cases, it seems to placing themselves into a similar situation but in the controlling position, to try getting rid of the feeling of helplessness they had when being abused themselves.

Sometimes they might pick the right target and hit back at the parent who abused them. This is the least likely, as a big part of abuse by an authority figure is convincing the victim that they deserve it. In fact some child abuse is "punishing" the child for not having "enough respect" or obedience for the parent. This is the hardest for the victim to overcome, which is why this kind of abuse is rarely reported by the victim him/herself.

  8. children learn what they see. so it might happen later on

  9. YES YES I'M FROM A BADLY ABUSED HOME,MY STEPDAD ALWAYS ABUSED MY HALF BROTHER 4 YEARS,NOW STEPDAD IS DEAD,BROTHER IS 42 AND LIVES WITH MY MOM AND BROTHER ABUSES HER VERY BADLY,CAUSE HE CARRYS ALL THIS ANGER ON HOW WE WAS RAISED ABUSED.

  10. i think so i mean if anybody is beat down long enough the sooner or later it strikes back and besides could you blame them

  11. Of course not! We have to follow the law. If you want to get back to them, use lawful measure.

If you abuse them later on, then this vicious cycle never ends.

  12. Vary possible.  Kids learn by what they see.  Kids don't forget how they were treated as kids.
