  1. I dont think youre able to get the originals but you may be able to keep the copies and or CD, but, If you do get the originals, you do have to return them because they belong the medical facility.

    You may be able to purchase copies.


  2. Doctors are required by law to maintain the x-rays for 5 years.  Many doctors won't even release x-rays to a patient for fear of them NOT being returned.  They will only release them to another dr.  I don't think there is anything he can do to you if you don't comply.
