  1. It's an artery, not a vein.

    The procedure is a carotid endarterectomy, not stenting.


  2. A fake one.  There is no carotid vein.  There's a jugular vein, and a carotid artery.

    You may be thinking of a carotid endarterectomy, where the artery is cleaned out of plaque that builds up in it.

  3. Sounds like "murder" the way you asked it, but more likely stents were put in.

    And FYI, it's an artery, not a vein.

    The PA below me is correct about the procedure!
