  1. They do, unless they have reversed the charges (made a collect call.)


  2. The person calling you is paying for the long distance charges. (as long as they don't call you "collect" - in which case you agree to accept the charge).

  5. The person who "makes" the call pays for it; unless the call is collect, then the person who answers the call is charged if they accept the charges.

  6. I think they do because they're the ones making the call.  It has been a while since someone has called me long distance.  So I don't remember. :(
