If a person dies and was seeing an on-going physician, but nobody informed the doctor of his death, ?

How will the physician know that he died? Who notifies them? Or do they just think the patient just stop going to see them?

  1. The physician SHOULD get a notification of death from either the hospital or the funeral director. If the doctor has been that patient's primary care physician, he will be asked to sign the death certificate.
