  1. No all the nutrients won't be there.  I went on the Medical Weight loss diet and for two weeks straight, I could only eat one serving of a carb.  They make you take vitamins and get B12 shots while you're doing this because you won't get all the nutrients you need.  What will happen is your body will get weak and you will feel sluggish.  If you want to continue with this, you need to be a monitored weight loss program.

  2. it is terribly unhealthy, you body may have enough vitamins and minerals but it will get no fuel in the form of carbohydrates and and protein.  it would be like driving a car without gas

  3. Although you will be getting nutrients and vitamins, you aren't getting enough variety.

Remember to have a diet rich in fiber and protein. Protein doesn't have to mean red meat...it can be from tofu, almonds etc. Protein also helps you to gain muscle and tone your body when u work out

A diet with just fruits and vegs can make u lose alot of weight...but you'll gain it right back very easily. Your body will go into starvation mode.

The best way to lose weight? exercise, have variety of nutrient rich foods, and stay postive. =)

  4. no..thats wrong trust me ive been dieting for a year and tried it all.. eating too much of anything is bad for you!!.. too much fruit can be bad because it has alot of natural sugar which is still bad too much sugar.. and sugar turns too fat... eat fruits and veggies but not too much fruit... eat lean meats .. and easy on carbs no bread,.,,,  try to cut sugar and carbs trust me youll lose weight quick!

  5. Goodness gracious, people on this site don't know anything.  For everyone out there, take every answer you get with a grain of salt.  First of all, you will be able to all your nutrients and calories through this diet as long as it's correctly balanced.  You'll want to consult an experienced vegan or a book to learn more.  There's a fair bit to learn on this.

Anyway, let's quickly explain the four food groups in terms of fruits and vegetables.  Now remember, fruits and vegetables are plants that grew because of photosythesis, which is a process that converts energy from the sun into caloric energy that we can use.  They are the only ones that are capable of doing this, all other animals somehow rely on this energy to gain their own energy.

Carbohydrates and grain = first off, wheat, oats, barley, etc are plants and can be compared to a vegetable.  Bread is made of processed wheat that has been ground into flour and mixed with other ingredients before being cooked.  There are carbohydrates in the form of natural sugars in fruit.

Calcuim and Dairy = Milk and the products made from it is essentially grass and other plants and vegetables that have been consumed by an animal whether it be a cow, goat or human and converted into a white liquid that unprocessed is high in enzymes, fat and nutrients.  Babies live off ths milk alone in their first stages of life.  Calcuim can be found in low to high amounts in all fruits and vegetables.  Milk can also be made from nuts such as almonds or plants such as soy.  There is a fairly high amount of calcuim in almonds.

Fruits and vegetables = this is obvious

Protien and meat = Animals gain their energy from other animals (carnivores) or plants (herbivores, which are usually the prey to the carnivores).  You see where this is going.  Now you can gain protien from fruits and vegetables since protien is basically the essential components of cells.  These cells are present in all beings.  Fruits and vegetables that are high in protien include beans, soy, seeds and nuts.

I hope my answer was very informative and has taught not only you, but other people on this site about nutrition and the transfer of energy.

  6. It's somewhat healthy but rather sounds more like a vegetarian diet.

  7. Nope...fruits and veggies like all food should be done in moderaton. There is a lot of sugar and carbs in those foods and the carbs turn into sugar very easily.  Potatoes are bad....if you eat them you should eat fries...SERIOUSLY...the grease helps absorb the sugar so it doesn't go  into the system which turns in to fat.

Read about it all in the Glycemic index books or the South Beach Diet book.  Seriously....the Glycemic index will tell you what is good and what is bad in terms of sugar content.   Berries are good....other fruits not so good.

You should eat a balanced diet with portion control and eat about 1500 to 2000 calories a day and lose slowly....your body needs 1200 calories to just breathe and sit and walk and pump your blood etc.

Just eat 500 calories less a day than you do...watch the good carbs and bad carbs and you will lose it and learn a good eating plan.

Talk to a nutritionist if you need help...but do it right and learn good eating habits so you aren't eating wrong things and paying for them later.  There are tons of books out there on good nutrition..go to the library or go look in the book stores.

  8. It won't be healthy. You need proteins, carbohydrates, calcium, iron, and your vitamins. Fruits and vegetables would lack the protein and calcium that you need, just to name a few. And yes, you will lose weight.

  9. No its not healthy because fruit has ALOT of sugar in it lol.

You should eat protein and some carbs too.

  10. no carbs or pros is bad

  11. A vegetarian diet is always a much healthier diet. ..

  12. yes

  13. No. A diet of just fruits and veggies alone is not healthy at all. Fruits and veggies are excellence choices of foods to eat, but they shouldn't be all you are eating. Most fruits and vegies contain very little fat. However, especially with the fruit, they contain a lot of carbs in the form of natural sugar. Also, everyone NEEDS protein in their diet. Your body needs protein in order to help repair itself, allow it to grow, and many many other needs. Likewise your body needs some sort of fat intake. People think if you eat something with more than a gram of fat in it than they will get fat. FALSE, to be frank, you shouldn't be eating ring dings and Twinkies because they have a lot of fat, are very calorie dense, and have little nutritional value. However a piece of salmon or chicken has more than a gram of fat, however it would contain a substantial amount of nutritional value that your body would thank you for. Try mixing the veggies with sliced up chicken, tuna, turkey, ham... and a fruit on the side, maybe even a slice of plain bread. Experiment, thats my best advice.
