  1. Go to your nearest embassy in england and they will issue the proper documents.

  2. Such a person should apply for a replacement passport from the US Embassy London as soon as possible.  While it is possible for a US citizen to seek to re-enter the US without a US passport, it can be an arduous process.  In addition, the traveler would, at the very least, require documentation from the US embassy in order to be allowed to even board the plane.

  3. Go to the embassy in England and they will get the papers and documents you will need to re-enter the USA.. Should be quick .. but when u get back you will have to report it was lost and they will re-issue you  new one..

  4. no!you get another one at he USA embassy

  5. Curious is sharp.  Let me expand a bit- when a person arrives on a plane in the USA, the airline carrier is on the hook for that person.  If the person ends up refused admission, the airline has to 1) pay a fine and 2) pay to return that passenger.  Airlines do not want to do either.  So without a passport (or something that functions like a passport), the airlines won't board you.

If you've lost your passport, report this to the the nearest US Consulate/Embassy. They will help you get another.
