If a person has been served an order of protection...?

And they have guns in the house, will their guns be taken by the law? Also, can they lose their job over the order of protection?

  1. Usually an order of protection just means that the person served has to refrain from any form of contact with the person/persons named in the order.  There is no order for search and seizure.  There is no reason for the others in the work place to know about the order unless there is a possibility of contact there.  An employer shouldn't act on an order of protection other than to report a violation as they have no idea what the issues are.
