My nephew isn't a good "book learner" and was diagnosed with a cognitive disability. Does a cognitive disability mean he processes information differently or can't at all?

  1. There are several different kinds of cognitive disabilities.  Which one he has and how severe it is will determine what he can or cannot do and what he will have problems with.

  2. Not understanding a manual for a digital camera is normal and not a good sign of cognitive disability-

there is a lareg spectrum from mile to profound cognitive impairments-he may process info differently and slower-and have a lower threshhold of what he can process

    Everybody can process info-even minimally
