  1. I agree with Raich.., You will be charged with the amount of theft, or bookkeeping errors benefiting you or someone else.


  2. Whatever the boss/foundation thinks they took.  My dad is a manager for a volunteer group and there was a lady who volunteered as well and embezzled over 10,000.  We are sure she stole more, but that's all that they have proof for.

  3. They are charged with the amount that boss thinks they stole.

    If that is a little, it may be misdemeanor petty larceny -= less than a year in jail.

    If that is a lot, it may be felony grand larceny = more than 1 year in jail.


  4. The title of the crime, embezzlement, just indicates the type of theft, not the amount stolen.  Could be a buck.  Could be a million.

  5. Whatever they believe was embezzled.  They will need proof for court, so there is usually an audit of the company records to determine how much is missing and/or create a paper trail of what was diverted.
