  1. s my dear friend, in my country India. There are internet service providers who provide only dynamic IP's but on request and some charges they may give a Static IP. Anyway if the person is going to change his location it's going to be change in IP too.

Hope I answered the question ;-)

  2. No it is not possible. The ip address if from one place only, and cannot be changed or moved.

  3. Not unless they are sending it through one of those anonymous proxies to conceal the actual IP.

  4. Yes and no but mostly likely no.

Each computer that connects to the Internet is assigned an unique IP address. As a result, if the person is using a computer in two different locations, they should have different IP addresses for each computer.

There are however exceptions to this rule. It is possible that he/she is connecting through a corporate proxy. For example, if this person is accessing his e-mail/Internet through his/her company, the IP address will be shared by all the employees using the proxy and will be the same when access from different places.

Another exception is if the originating computer is setup like a proxy server which will allow him to connect to it. As a result, the IP address may seem like it is coming from the original machine.

A more common exception is if the e-mail program that he uses routes traffic through the same IP address. For example, if you use Gmail, then you are unable to find the originating address since the last noted IP address will be Google's proxy server. Depending on the e-mail service, it may or may not show the originating IP address.

  5. It's unlikely that they are in a different place if the IP address has remained the same....
