Simple, the sun is a massive star which the planets in the solar system orbit, so no planet is in opposition to the sun as the sun causes the gravity that means planets orbit it.  Heat and gravity balance.  The only way for the opposition to happen is when a (space time) don't loose any sleep over it. body of greater gravitational attraction pulls the sun towards it and since there is no immediate danger of that happening in the next few years don't loose any sleep over it.


  2. At sunset. As the Sun is setting, the planet in opposition, located 180° away from the Sun, will be rising.

  3. The sun rises when a planet rotates not when it revolves revolves  the sun.
