discuss structural adaptations that function in oxygen exchange between each of the following (insect, fish, plant) and its environment

This is my first year in AP Bio and I kinda need this in layman's terms, so would this asking about the physical changes in oxygen when it goes from its environment to plant, fish, insect etc? Or would it be asking about how these animals acquire oxygen, like Stomates for plants, Spiracles for insects and Gills for fish?

Help me out here

  1. It means, what structures in each of the following 3 organisms help them acquire oxygen, just as you wrote in the last sentence of your post.

  2. it would be the one about how animals acquire oxygen. it is asking about the adaptations animals have. adaptations are things that change about an animal to make it able to survive in a certain environment, like underwater.
