It means the statuette displaces 10gm of water, and therefore has a volume of 10 ml.  Since gold has a density of 19.32 g/ml, and the statuette has a density of 11.4 g/ml, the gold is not pure.  This is not unexpected, as pure gold does not have good durability.  According to http://24carat.co.uk/densityofgoldandoth... that density would indicate 9ct gold.

    However, as lead has a density of 11.35 g/ml, the statuette could well be gold plated lead.
