Sorry but I had to break it to fit it in.

  2. It is not a matter of how strong the Reiki Master is or if the recipient believes. The Reiki will bring healing but healing may or may not mean cure.

I would not advise using Reiki as the sole treatment for cancer in place of medical treatment but I definitely recommend it in addition to medical treatment.

I have worked with several cancer patients throughout the years, each with different results.

Two of the cancer patients had their cancer suddenly dissappear just after the point where the cancer had begun to aggressively spread and and the doctors had ordered more tests to determine the next course of action. In both cases the cancer dissappeared before the more radical treatments were implemented.

One case was an inoperable malignant brain tumor and the other was Hodgekins lymphoma. Both patients have been cancer free now for more than 8 years.

One patient, I saw after her cancer treatments were succesfully completed and I helped her to recover from the trauma and to regain her strength after the fact. She has been cancer free for 6 years.

Another patient came to me after he had received a terminal diagnosis and was given about 6 months to live. The Reiki gave him great comfort, spiritual support and helped him manage the pain and the effects of his medical treatments.

He had a good quality year and a half. I had the honor of sitting with him through his death process. The Reiki helped to ease his pain and fear during his final hours.

I personally was told by doctors that they thought I had cancer on two occasions about 15 years apart. On both occasions, I went and worked with a Reiki practioner while waiting for the biopsy appointment. In one case, the things they thought may be cancerous tumors were reduced to a few abnormal cells, in the other case what had appeared to be an apricot sized tumor had been reduced to a lentil sized polyp.

  3. Yes, it's not so much if the Reiki Master is strong enough, it has to deal more with if that is the outcome with the highest good. Reiki works on a Pure White Light level of vibration that expediates the manifestation of the "for the highest good" outcome. Sometimes that is completely different than what we are expecting it to be!

I would never suggest Reiki as the sole treatment for a disease like Cancer. I WOULD HIGHLY recommend it as a complementary therapy - especially since radiation and chemo deplete the body so terribly. Reiki would help keep the body's stores of energy higher so that it could better heal itself, it would reduce the severity of negative side-effects, and act as a remarkable pain-management system.

However, that being said, there have been some truly miraculous testimonials out there about the healing power of Reiki. So, I 100% believe it is possible for Reiki to enact a cure for cancer - but not across the board.

There are MANY factors that play into a Reiki healing, not the least of which are the recipient's own self-created or self-perpetuated energetic blocks that often come from unhealthy societal programming in their youth. Reiki can also help free one from those, but it is a long process to heal on all levels to the maximum depth. However, that doesn't mean it's not possible - it just takes someone totally committed to their healing, who can embrace the process (uncomfortable as some aspects are when they have the face the darker parts of themselves and their past) fully. When someone is completely ready to heal and progress, the outcomes can be unbelievably inspiring.

So, YES. I believe it can happen - but I do believe that a case that had the perfect storm of factors to do so would likely be uncommon. However, Reiki would be working at an extremely positive level, and encouraging a greater chance of remission and recovery.

  4. I don't know that it's a case of how "strong" the reiki practitioner is. I tend to think it's more of a case of the belief of the recipient, and their personal will to relieve themselves of the affliction.

    I speak from personal experience.

Combine this with numerous other recounted real situations, and one starts to wonder if it is for real.

I, for one, am convinced that it works.

  5. I work with a group of medical people and ... We cannot diagnoise or prescribe, nor can we declare that we create miracles.. its illegal.

However I have seen some amazing results that continuously are surprizing everyone.

    1. Reiki has to do with Intent and focus which is the strength not who taught who or how much ego or wealth a person has.

    2. I work (and encourage my students to assist me)  once a month with a Cancer Therapy Research Cancer group (University of Texas Health Science Center) for free  and they have given us rave reviews on how much help mentally/spiritually/physically that the Reiki Sessions do for them.

  6. I believe that Reiki should be used in addition to other treatments. I also feel it is important for the client to believe it will help. I have had Reiki healing work done as a client. I am now a Reiki Master...In my experience it is very possible for the abnormal cells to disappear...A Reiki Master is but a conduit for the Universal Energy & Light that has the ability to heal..Also what is in the interest of your highest good is also in the picture ..which the Reiki Master has no power over.
