  1. A bit of turning and more turnnig and you will get it through

  2. I had the same problem. In the end we had to remove the glass from the front window & pass the sofa through the hole. I wish that people warned you that you need a double door to deliver the sofa before you paid for it.

  3. Perhaps if they are able to take the door off to give a bit more space, but honestly this doesn't look as though it will give you that much more room to manoeuvre. Though these guys are good at their jobs usually, had the same problem myself, by hook or by crook is normally their motto, good luck

  4. That would be down to 'on-the-spot' logical thinking!

    Are you in a hurry?

    Angle it?

  5. stand it on its end push the back through the door and turn the sofa on its axis into to the room

  6. There are some absolutely non-sensical answers to your question, you don't have to cut anything.

Being ex-RAF I have moved house at least a dozen times, forget about the maths, just turn it up on end and wangle it in at an angle, two furniture removal men would get it through in two minutes because they practise every day, us mere mortals take a bit longer with the use of some choice words.

  7. They will have to knock your door frame out and a bit of the wall around it.

  8. Cut it in half or burn it. But can you not take a window out??? Like i did.

  9. Some furniture is made with a removable back to make it easier, others they just tilt it about 45 degrees and get one arm through the opening then go through and swing the other arm through.  Not as tough as it sounds.

  10. It could be possible, we took the doors off, and got our HUGE corner suite in our cottage.

If the guys say they can do it, leave the worrying to them!

    :0)

  11. Isn't this a maths question? What is the height of the door? Is it possible to take it apart? With the feet and cushions off, and a bit of persuasion, it should go in at an angle. Most regular furniture will fit through a regular door-it just needs a bit of a wiggle sometimes!

  12. i would say you cant! but maybe i dont know something the furniture guys do...? i dont really see how you could fit anything with each set of dimensions larger than a door through the door, even without the cushions on it and everything. hope everything works out for you :)

  13. NO PROBLEM STANDARD DOOR 78INCHES HIGH STAND ON END SLIDE THRO TURNING AS YOU GO

MIND YOU MOST DOORS STANDARD 30INCHES WIDE GOOD LUCK

  14. Its amazing what they can do & Carol has given the answer.

    Good Luck with the move.

  15. either stand it on one of the sides and curve it round the door putting the back end through first.

but i think you'll find that the easiest way to get it in is going to be to take the windows out. double glazing can just be cliped out, if you to attempt to take out the window glass, remember they are surprisingly heavy! and do not put them on anythink that coulck break the pressure seal between the 2 windows.
