If a space of land has no planning permission, what could i put on it to perhaps live in? a chalet?a big shed?

Sorry ,but find out & get it in writing that planning permission is not needed.Or else the city or Borough -council-can come back in a few years & ask you to demolish it .

How about a neat kit set house?of say 2 bed rooms eh?

A pole barn would work.  Insulate it and work on inside while you are there.
