If a supervisor threatens with firing you can you take legal action? sice it is a threat?

i used to work in a hospital and the boss threatened an employee to fire her next time she did something wrong and he got in trouble so thats why i want to know THX!

  1. Since personnel matters are not public information, you cannot know whether or not the "threat" is related to the trouble or, indeed, whether or not the boss actually got into any trouble at all.

    Supervisors are supposed to warn people who need to improve performance.  It is unlikely that a supervisor would be in trouble for that unless he did something else incorrectly or inappropriately.  


  2. You can sue anyone for anything.  Prevailing is another thing entirely.

    If you don't want to get fired for doing something wrong, perhaps you should avoid doing something wrong.

    Supervisors are SUPPOSED to fire s***w-ups.
