  1. I'd play dead.  Think about it.  If you have a sandwich in the fridge, you might eat it now, or you might watch some TV and eat it later.  If it got up and started running right in front of you, you'd say s***w TV, I'm gonna go get my sandwich.  Now a smart sandwich would start running once it knows you're watching TV.

  2. Neither! You should never run from a predator - it makes you seem like prey and triggers the hunting instinct. Playing dead is pretty useless too, since tigers could easily smell whether you were alive or dead, and have no aversion to eating carrion anyway. If confronted by a tiger, or other large predator, you should back away slowly whilst facing the animal. If it seems likely to attack, you should wave your arms and shout, making yourself seem larger and more dangerous than you really are. Unless you're really unlucky, this should deter most animals.

  3. I would try to wake up from that bad dream !!

  4. Face it straight on and yell at the top of my lungs.  I did that when a full grown & agressive Doberman came at me a few years back.  That was my instinct reaction.  It scared the c**p out of the dog.  I'd probably be killed by the tiger.

Not many tigers in rural Vermont though.  I'm pretty safe.

  5. run. it'll still taste you even if ur faking dead. besdies it can see if ur breathing or not

  6. .....just stand there and look str8 in the eyes.....

  7. Never run from any of the large cats. It just encourages them to go after you and over a short ditance they are much faster.

Playing dead isn't a sure thing, but you have a better chance than running. Cats have a hard time seeing something that isn't moving and unless it is very  hungry there is a chance that it would just lose interest

  8. I'll take option C.  Ya know, the one where the events transpiring are so out of the ordinary that you just freeze up, staring death in the face with your eyes pasted open in shock.

Hey, it might not be a glamourous answer, but it's true.  If a tiger came at me, I would be dead before I even realized what was happening.

  9. never run!  when a animal is approching you in an attack stance, it is challenging you.  though unlike a bear, a fetal position wont work either.  so you can survive a few ways.  first, you can kneel, this will let it know that you are not trying to claim their territory.  slowly walk a way,  same as above with territory.  this one might sound stupid but if you take a step forward towards it,  it will show that you are unafraid and might charge, but 9 out of 10 it will not attack, just charge to see if you will run.  the two biggest things not to do is run and stare the animal directly in the eyes.
