my lawn sprinklers clock timer is powered by a transformer that reads INPUT AC 24 WATTS and OUTPUT 26.5V 650ma

so am i correct in saying monthly use in kilowatts is (24watts x 24hrs x 30 days)/1000, or roughly 15? that seems like a lot of juice to me to keep an lcd timer running, don't you think?

  1. Your figures are right.  To be a little more accurate, it's just over 17 kWH a month.  But depending on your electric rate, say 12 cents per kWH, that's only $2.07 per month.  Check on your electric bill for the exact kWH rate you pay.
