  1. Of Course!

  2. a silly question...

    Yes it does...

  3. Keeeraaaakkkkbooooom

yes of course it does... God heard it and he's everywhere... must have some terrific headake pills...

  4. Yes, it does make a sound because sound is just movement of the molocules in the air, so the question is if a tree moves do the molocules move around it? so yes they do the tree moving (falling) would displace oxygen and other asmosphereic molcues producing sound. HOWEVER there is one problem and that is where is the forest? is it in space with no atmosphere? if its in space no sound would occur due to the vacuum of space. So sound in a scientific definition is vibrations or movement of molocules. so if there is movement there is sound. except in space of course tehrs no molocules to be moved ;P. So Scientificly there is no chance the tree wouldnt make a sound if it was in earths forest with an amosphere around it. (or any other type of matter for that matter). YES IT IS SCIENTIFICLY PROVEN YES I JUST PROVED IT!.

    sound 1 (sound)

    1. A type of longitudinal wave that originates as the vibration of a medium (such as a person's vocal cords or a guitar string) and travels through gases, liquids, and elastic solids as variations of pressure and density. The loudness of a sound perceived by the ear depends on the amplitude of the sound wave and is measured in decibels, while its pitch depends on its frequency, measured in hertz.

    2. The sensation produced in the organs of hearing by waves of this type. See Note at ultrasound.

  5. Taking this question on too literal a basis, it can be assumed that the tree would make a sound, as all past experiences by man has shown that it does. This, however, only proves that the probability of the tree making a noise is very high. There is still a tiny probability that the tree would not make a sound. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grue_and_Bl... for the Grue and Bleen theory, which is a culmination of physics and psychology.

  6. If a man talks and no woman is around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Sorry but I  had to do it..

  7. yes. me and some others were in a foreign country when a huge tree nearly fell on us. according to the govt. though, we weren't  really there. i can tell you that that tree made alot of sound. therefore, yes. just kidding

  8. That totally depends on your definition of "No one". Do you mean people or do you mean every life form on earth?

Does a deer not hear the same, if not better, as a human can?

We're outnumbered on this planet by insects, mollusks, crustaceans, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians... just to name a few. Outnumbered enough that even if a human is not within hearing distance, an animal will be.

  9. In which case, there would be sound waves..........but there is no ones ear to capture them :p

  10. no it doesnt make a sound (the definition of sound entails someone hearing it)

but the sound waves still reverberate through the air

  11. it depends on which definition of sound u are talking about. the following definitions of sound are from dictionary.com.

    1. the sensation produced by stimulation of the organs of hearing by vibrations transmitted through the air or other medium.

    2. mechanical vibrations transmitted through an elastic medium, traveling in air at a speed of approximately 1087 ft. (331 m) per second at sea level.

if u are talkingabout the first one then it doesnt make a sound. but if ur talking about the second definition then yes it does. its jus how u use the word.
